چکیده
We study the phase diagram of 5-dimensional $SU(2)$ Yang-Mills theory on lattice. consider two extensions fundamental plaquette Wilson action in search for continuous transition suggested by $4+\epsilon$ expansion. The correspond to new terms action: i) a unit size adjoint representation or ii) two-unit sided square representation. use Monte Carlo sample first and second derivative entropy near confinement transition, with lattices up $12^{5}$. While we exclude presence order parameter space sampled model i), our data is not conclusive some regions ii).

Phase Transitions in SO(3) Lattice Gauge Theory
The phase diagram of SO(3) lattice gauge theory is investigated by Monte Carlo techniques on both symmetric N σ and asymmetric N 3 σ×Nβ lattices with a view i) to understand the relationship between the bulk transition and the deconfinement transition, and ii) to resolve the current ambiguity about the nature of the high temperature phase. A number of tests, including an introduction of a magne...
متن کاملMagnetic monopoles from gauge theory phase transitions
Thermal fluctuations of the gauge field lead to monopole formation at the grand unified phase transition in the early universe, even if the transition is merely a smooth crossover. The dependence of the produced monopole density on various parameters is qualitatively different from theories with global symmetries, and the monopoles have a positive correlation at short distances. The number dens...
متن کاملBaryon Mass and Phase Transitions in Large N Gauge Theory
We calculate baryon mass inN = 4 largeN gauge theory by means of AdS/CFT correspondence, and find that phase transitions occur when temperature or theta angle takes a critical value. Furthermore, we find there are bound states of Wbosons in Higgs phase. متن کاملFirst Order Phase Transitions in Lattice and Continuous Systems: Extension of Pirogov-Sinai Theory*
We generalize the notion of "ground states" in the Pirogov-Sinai theory of first order phase transitions at low temperatures, applicable to lattice systems with a finite number of periodic ground states to that of "restricted ensembles" with equal free energies. A restricted ensemble is a Gibbs ensemble, i.e. equilibrium probability measure, on a restricted set of configurations in the phase sp...
متن کاملThermodynamic theory of phase transitions in driven lattice gases.
We formulate an approximate thermodynamic theory of the phase transition in driven lattice gases with attractive nearest-neighbor interactions. We construct the van der Waals equation of state for a driven system where a nonequilibrium chemical potential can be expressed as a function of density and driving field. A Maxwell's construction leads to the phase transition from a homogeneous fluid p...
